Urgent Care When You Need It
Signs of a Dental Emergency
If you’re experiencing unexplained tooth pain, it could indicate an issue with the tooth, surrounding gums, or even the root. Similarly, swelling in the jaw or mouth without a clear cause is often a sign that something may be wrong.
Dental emergencies can also include damaged dental work. If a filling or crown cracks or falls out, the exposed tooth becomes vulnerable to further damage, such as cracking or breaking, which requires immediate attention.
Emergency Services
What To Expect
Emergency dental treatment begins with a thorough exam, including x-rays if needed, to quickly diagnose the issue. Dentists will relieve pain and stabilize the condition with medication, numbing, or temporary treatments. Afterward, they’ll explain the treatment plan, which may include immediate care or follow-up visits. Patients will also receive home care instructions to prevent further complications.
